Miroku is the monk with
the Air Void in his right hand. He spends every waking moment after one girl or another trying to get one
to bear his child.
Sick? You might think so at first, but Miroku's lecherous behavior
is soom explained. Naraku has cursed Miroku's lineage with the Kazaana (Air Void) his carries on his hand. Miroku
has to kill Naraku, which will lift the curse, or be swallowed by the Kazaana.
But what if Miroku is killed? Who will carry on and extract revenge
on Naraku? That's where the women come in.
So, Miroku desperately tries to persuade females to give him a child.
Unfortunately, no one seems to eager to help Miroku out, not even his semi-girlfriend Sango.
Miroku seems to get a break in Episode #93, when his raccoon friend,
Hachi, disguises himself as Miroku in order to get some food. Hachi (as Miroku) seems a lot more popular with the ladies.
When Miroku (the real one) has Hachi tell him the secrets of his popularity with the opposite sex, they run off together leaving
a very angry Sango behind!
Miroku's many exploits get him into a lot of trouble! He always
has a slap mark on his face after he's been near Sango for any period of time. Sango eventually develops a sixth-sense
when it comes to Miroku's bad behavior and is able to hit, slap, or pinch him before he lays a hand on her.
Miroku finally seems to get a girl in several different episodes, but
they always end up to be youkai. Poor Miroku, he just seems to attract the wrong types of girls!
